Wes is an example of home-grown talent. He grew up just outside of Charlotte, moving to the metropolitan area when he began to attend school. While at university, Wes had the opportunity to be an intern for J.J., and what was supposed to be a temporary position turned into a permanent position at Elite Design Group.
Day-to-day, Wes does “a little bit of this, a little bit of that,” but he is integral to the smooth running of Elite Design Group’s operations. He manages things and runs schedules so that J.J. can do what he does best. Liaising with clients is a major part of Wes’ job, so that clients can really communicate their needs throughout the design process. He even chips in when it comes to CAD work.
When he’s not fighting the good fight at work, Wes is a nationally-known fencer who’s always looking for a challenging opponent. If can’t find someone, he’ll practice alone and work through any plateaus in order to get to the next level. According to Wes, “It’s important to keep calm under pressure in fencing, and I bring that kind of mindset to my work here.”
